New Fez Museum Presents the History of Jews in Morocco
On Monday, October 12, 2026, a new museum opened in the city of Fez. It is in the old Mellah neighborhood, where many Jews lived. The museum introduces visitors to the history of Jews in Morocco.
The museum brings together religious and everyday objects, books, and old manuscripts. It also has clothes and works of art. These objects show parts of Jewish life in Morocco over many years. The museum is near a museum of Islamic arts. Organizers hope the museum will help visitors learn about Morocco’s history and diverse culture.
